Tenor Jon Morrell as Siegmund gave a convincing performance, singing especially brilliantly in the character's powerful invocation of his father “Wälse” to aid him in his hour of need. Morrell's tone was lovely, rising above the orchestra providing a burnished, shimmering sound.
